Day 294 – Vitamin D

I’m not sure if I already mentioned this in a previous post but,

An interesting fact about Vitamin D is that, while most people know it is synthesized within the body by exposing the skin to sunlight, the Vitamin is actually stored within your bodyfat and slowly released over winter months.

Yes, you read that right – months.  If you get appropriate sunlight in the summer (sunlight Vitamin D is vastly superior to supplements on the grounds that 20 minutes of sun exposure gives you hundreds of times more than a daily pill), your body will save that all winter!
